Who are we?

The Mini & Motorbike Maniacs Association

(affectionately known as MeMM)

was founded in May 2004 by a group of Italians passionate about the Classic Mini and motorbikes.

The Association has it’s registered HQ in Florence, Italy, with sections all over Italy; as far as Bari (Puglia) and Palermo (Sicily). MeMM members are located across the entire country and from it’s foundation in 2004 the Association has grown exponentially with new members adhering constantly. It is now the largest and most well know Classic Mini club in Italy. The Association organizes regular meetings, rallies and get-together’s for it’s members as well as offering it’s own dedicated services, know-how and technical information. Discounted rates for MeMM members have been negotiated with specialized mechanics for repairs, tyre suppliers, car electrical specialists, body shops and insurance companies.

The Association’s first contact with the general public comes with the first Rally in Versilia proving to be an immediate success, both in terms of participating cars, with over 40 Classic Mini’s taking part in various events, as well as a large presence of the general public in attendance.

The largest Classic Mini Rally held annually in Italy is the focal point of the MeMM calendar. This extraordinary 2 day event is held in Florence in springtime each year. The Classic Mini’s have authorized access to the historical centre of Florence and in convoy are escorted through the streets to the delight of the general public. In addition to this, there are time trials, a gymkhana, as well as lots of fun and mischief! The apex in April 2007 was when a record 160 Classic Mini’s from all over the Italy attended.

Other important Classic Mini meetings are the Rally held in Palermo, the autumn weekend get-together’s held at the Bagni di Romagna thermal resort and the Florence to Follonica time trial run. Equally important is the Rally in Asiago (Veneto) held in the summertime, given the mountain altitudes. Numerous events linked to the world of the Classic Mini are arranged throughout the year; meetings, discussions, evenings out, lunches, dinners and themed parties.

MeMM club members attend the IMM (International Mini Meeting) each year, this is the world’s largest Classic Mini event and is held in a different European location each year.

The Association works closely with other Classic Mini clubs across Italy and attends the rallies and meetings organized by them. The MeMM is delighted and honoured to be a part of this integral movement.
